The Imperial Moto Territorial Open continues to affirm its status as a must-attend event on Saint Barth’s surfing calendar. On February 21 and 22, at Lorient Beach, surfers and spectators were immersed in an atmosphere blending sporting intensity with the island’s distinctive collective energy. Designed with a fluid and dynamic format, the competition unfolded through elimination heats lasting between 15 and 20 minutes, where every paddle-out had to be optimized. Judges counted each surfer’s two best waves, scored out of 10, requiring both a strategic reading of the lineup and flawless execution to stand out. In the shortboard division, Noé Lédée made the difference in the final with a strong score built on two major waves, allowing him to quickly take the lead. His heat management and wave selection proved decisive against his competitors. In the women’s longboard category, Maureen Bourgailh claimed victory with a smooth and precise style, perfectly suited to the weekend’s conditions. Among younger competitors, several finals highlighted a new generation already highly comfortable within this demanding format. The event extended onto the beach in a festive atmosphere, with exchanges and prize-giving ceremonies. In Saint Barth, even after the final wave, the spirit of the Open continues to resonate—an invitation to experience surfing differently, much like the lifestyle brand Imperial Moto, which brings communities together.
